Each month, our curators select two beautifully made titles for the whole community to enjoy together. Every membership includes these books, ready for in-store pickup, along with monthly menu credits and member-only perks that invite you to linger, connect, and make this place your own.

The slow burn
The Slow Burn Membership offers our two curated book club selections of the month in a paperback format. Slow Burn members get a spot on our first-to-know list for news and all upcoming events, access to our exclusive members-only happy hour, and a $10 menu credit each month to be used on any food or beverage item of your choice.

Members of The Heartthrob enjoy an elevated reading experience with our two curated Book Club selections of the month in beautiful hardcover editions. Heartthrob members have a spot on our first-to-know list for news and all upcoming events, 10% off those events, access to our exclusive members-only happy hour, and $15 menu credit every single month to be used on any food or beverage items of your choice.

the happily ever after
The Happily Ever After is our most indulgent membership option created for readers who love thoughtful details and beautiful editions. Each month you'll pick up the two Book Club selections of the month in elevated formats – one an elegant hardcover and the other a special edition selected for its collectibility.
Our Happily Ever After members will also enjoy a place on our first-to-know list for all Swoon news and events as well as a full 15% discount on all of those events. These members also enjoy access to our exclusive members-only happy hour and a $30 in-store menu credit each month to be used on any food or beverage items of your choice.

Membership FAQs
Can I give a Swoon Book Club membership as a gift?
Absolutely! A Swoon Book Club membership is an excellent gift! When you select your membership, we’ll ask you who the membership is for. If it’s a gift, simply add the recipient's name and email address, proceed to billing, and we’ll take it from there (if it’s for yourself, just add your own name and email)! The recipient name is what we will use for pickup for the book selections and for in-store membership perks.
Can I pick up my membership items anytime?
Yes, you can pick them up as soon as they are ready on the second Sunday of each month! If you can't come in right away to pick up your monthly Book Club selections, we will hold onto them for you. If we haven't seen you in a week or two we may give you a call or send you an email reminder. Don't worry! We won't put your books back on the shelves if you can't come in right away.
Are the in-store menu credits the same as a gift card?
No. The menu credits included in your memberships are credits that go toward menu items (food and beverage items) only and are associated with the name on your membership account. Gift cards can be used anywhere in the store and are not associated with your membership account.
How do I pick up my monthly books?
You can pick up your monthly Book Club selections in-store at 2504 Far Hills Avenue in Oakwood just by stopping by and telling us your name. And don't forget! You can browse other books and use your in-store member perks (like your menu credit or happy hour membership) when you stop by. We can’t wait to see you!
Will you ship my books to me?
No. At this point in time, we don't ship anything from our store. Your monthly Book Club selections will be available for pickup on the second Sunday of each month. Just come on in, tell us your name, and we'll have your selections waiting for you.
Can I cancel my membership anytime?
Yes, if you need to cancel or pause your membership, you can do so by accessing your Squarespace account directly from our website. If you incur any issues, send us an email at info@swoonbooksandwine.com. We’ll be happy to help you.
Why don't you ship the book selections for the membership?
We may explore shipping for non-local book club members in the future. However, part of Swoon's mission is to support our community and encourage connection in our cozy, luxurious, and inviting new third space. So don't be shy, come on in! We can't wait to meet you.
Do my non-book membership perks expire?
Your membership perks such as member happy hour, in-store menu credits, and discounts on events will renew each month that your membership is active. If a menu credit is not used completely within the month, it will reset each month.
When is the members-only happy hour?
Our exclusive Book Club members-only happy hour is every Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 pm. to 6:00 pm. Book Club members will receive $1 off all drinks during happy hour!
Do I have to be a member to enjoy Swoon?
Definitely not. Swoon’s mission is to provide a third space where people feel welcome, accepted, and free to enjoy what they love as their most authentic selves. Those who are not book club members are welcome to come in and shop our shelves, enjoy our full bar, attend events, and connect with the community in our space!
